Pop rag by 22-year-old boys for 12-year-old boys promotes 9-11 Truth John Lee, producer and editor
When Pop's Mechanic magazine wrote about my pop question for Colonel Donn de Grand-pre, during the ever-popular Alex Jones radio show, I was impressed with myself. 30 years ago, when I was a 7th-Grader carrying a fully automatic M-14 assault rifle to school every day at Tennessee Military Institute, I used to read Popular Mechanics in "Study Hall". After checking out the March 2005 issue of PopMech, I realized I'm all grown up now - but Popular Mechanics never did. PM'S still brainwashing the little sheeple with childish fairy tales: "Forget 'Stranger Danger'! Trust child molestors and serial killers! Put all your money and your life in the hands of total strangers with deadly weapons and an army of professional killers! You can trust Big Brother with your money and your life - Sucker! Now give your lunch money to the nice bully and SHUT UP!" After loading nuclear bombs on supersonic bombers, operating on Gatlin Guns firing 6,000-grenades-per-minute of "Depleted" radioactive Uranium, and planting explosive demolitions for US Air Force, something about Gulf War Vaccine/Radiation Terminal Disability Syndrome woke me up to the facts of life. Psycho Big Brother genocided 35,000 US Gulf War 1 veterans and disabled 512,000 US GW 1 vets. Uncle Scam stole my wife's military pension (as perped against 99% of all retired-disabled veterans), then stole my Social Security disability pension (7 years in court so far), along with many other personal examples of government corruption, fraud, theft, racketeering, organized crime, narcotics trafficking, serial-killing and terrorism, along with my successful criminal prosecutions thereof (all chronicled by my online journal), resulted in my homeskooled post-doctoral degree, in what professors and prosecutors named "Governmental Deviance". |

Between propaganda scams for Illegal Space Alien Invasions and Lawnmower Races, Popular Mechanics mag hired US-Israeli-British Department of Homeland Security hitmen, and featured Pirate News - September 911 Surprise on its cover and centerfold, with PM'S apt confession, "9/11 Lies". PopMech's rookie disinfo specialist and Lawnmower Man, Benjamin Chertoff, is cousin of Commie-Czech-born Jewish-Israeli-citizen US Department of Homeland Security director Michael Chertoff. Michael Chertoff is a terrorist trial lawyer employed by the alleged 9-11 Arab-terrorists, who also aided and abetted US Attorney General John Ashcroft to "legalize" sadistic thrill-kill tortures of US citizens at Commie Gitmo's Camp X-Ray, and other loyal New World Order compounds across the globe - "free" airfare courtesy CIA Covert Airlines. The Chertoffs confirmed that Rick Gibney, the US military pilot who confessed to shooting down United Airlines Flight 93 on 9-11-2001, was promoted to Lt. Colonel for his accomplishment. Popular Mechanics confessed that Gibney REFUSED TO DENY he shot down a Boeing 757 airliner in Pennsylvania. Compare Gibney's treatment to that of Colonel John Keenan, wing commander of Tennessee Air National guard base in Knoxville, a commanding officer in both Afghanistan and Iraqi Wars, who was arrested by civilian police for an invisible traffic ticket, without charges, then locked in a Loony Bin for 30 days, stripped of command, then forced to confess to a traffic non-crime he did not commit, when there was no living witness to testify against him (the traffic cop was gunned down at the prosecutor's house).... Oh yeah, PopMech "forgot" to mention its accurate "premonition" in its 1996 coverstory that New York City's World Trade Center was going to be nuked by terrorists.... That's why the WTC foundation was molten metal weeks after 9-11-2001, from the controlled explosive demolitions in the basement using radioactive mini-nukes, to melt-down the core pillars. Where the micro-nukes from Michael Chertoff's home nation of Israel, with help from CIA et alia? In related news, the CIA's Manchurian Media Minions deployed their keyboards and thongs to attack Professor Jane Christensen, for featuring Pirate News - September 911 Surprise in her class, "Political Science 495 - 9/11 The Road to Tyranny", at North Carolina Wesleyan College. Pirate News welcomes CIA's grant of millions of dollars in free publicity. Thank you CIA-Mossad-MI6! BEWARE: Whenever Pop SciFi and Big Bro play their mind games and shell games, you better watch your wallet.... |

Homeland Defense REPORTING: Benjamin Chertoff Indian Lake
CLAIM: "Residents and workers at businesses outside Shanksville, Somerset County, reported discovering clothing, books, papers and what appeared to be human remains," states a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article dated Sept. 13, 2001. "Others reported what appeared to be crash debris floating in Indian Lake, nearly 6 miles from the immediate crash scene." Commenting on reports that Indian Lake residents collected debris, Think AndAsk.com speculates: "On Sept. 10, 2001, a strong cold front pushed through the area, and behind it--winds blew northerly. Since Flight 93 crashed west-southwest of Indian Lake, it was impossible for debris to fly perpendicular to wind direction. ... The FBI lied." And the significance of widespread debris? Theorists claim the plane was breaking up before it crashed. TheForbiddenKnowledge.com states bluntly: "Without a doubt, Flight 93 was shot down." FACT: Wallace Miller [a popular Jewish name], Somerset County coroner, tells PM no body parts were found in Indian Lake. Human remains were confined to a 70-acre area directly surrounding the crash site. Paper and tiny scraps of sheetmetal, however, did land in the lake. "Very light debris will fly into the air, because of the concussion," says former National Transportation Safety Board investigator Matthew McCormick. Indian Lake is less than 1.5 miles southeast of the impact crater--not 6 miles--easily within range of debris blasted skyward by the heat of the explosion from the crash. And the wind that day was northwesterly, at 9 to 12 mph, which means it was blowing from the northwest--toward Indian Lake. F-16 Pilot
CLAIM: In February 2004, retired Army Col. Donn de Grand-Pre said on "The Alex Jones Show," a radio talk show broadcast on 42 stations: "It [Flight 93] was taken out by the North Dakota Air Guard. I know the pilot who fired those two missiles to take down 93." LetsRoll911.org, citing de Grand-Pre, identifies the pilot: "Major Rick Gibney fired two Sidewinder missiles at the aircraft and destroyed it in midflight at precisely 0958." FACT: Saying he was reluctant to fuel debate by responding to unsubstantiated charges, Gibney (a lieutenant colonel, not a major) declined to comment. According to Air National Guard spokesman Master Sgt. David Somdahl, Gibney flew an F-16 that morning--but nowhere near Shanksville. He took off from Fargo, N.D., and flew to Bozeman, Mont., to pick up Ed Jacoby Jr., the director of the New York State Emergency Management Office. Gibney then flew Jacoby from Montana to Albany, N.Y., so Jacoby could coordinate 17,000 rescue workers engaged in the state's response to 9/11. Jacoby confirms the day's events. "I was in Big Sky for an emergency managers meeting. Someone called to say an F-16 was landing in Bozeman. From there we flew to Albany." Jacoby is outraged by the claim that Gibney shot down Flight 93. "I summarily dismiss that because Lt. Col. Gibney was with me at that time. It disgusts me to see this because the public is being misled. More than anything else it disgusts me because it brings up fears. It brings up hopes--it brings up all sorts of feelings, not only to the victims' families but to all the individuals throughout the country, and the world for that matter. I get angry at the misinformation out there." Thank you PopMech for confirming that Rick Gibney was the trigger man on flight 93, and that he was promoted for his actions! When testifying in court under oath, failure to deny an allegation results in a verdict that the statement is a corroborated fact.
Interview with Colonel Donn de Grand-pre, US Army Air Corps and OSS (retired) (Click link for full transcript) Alex Jones: We are talking to Col. Donn de Grand-Pre and he worked in many of the levels of the U.S. military and has put out some really important information. Two years ago, he put out a report in a meeting in a 72-hour deliberation, a group of military and civilian U.S. pilots under the chairmanship of Col. Donn de Grand-Pre. After deliberating non-stop for 72-hours has concluded that the flight crews of the four passenger airliners involved in the September 11th tragedy had no control over the aircraft. And they get into how the military industrial complex clearly, that is elements of it, were in control of this. Colonel, we are going to go to some calls here in a minutes after you cover some other issues with us. But, understand this, my question of what percentage of the officers, period, in the military do you think have finally woken up to the true magnitude of what's going on? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Well, I'm in personal contact at least on a weekly basis with the Joint Chiefs and other select people. My computation is that 70% of us are with us. That's the higher ranking military, field grade officers, etc. and even the first three grades of the enlisted ' 70% are with us.... John Lee (executive
producer of PirateNews.org CATV and
webmaster of September 911
Surprise): "Colonel, did a cruise
missile hit the Pentagon, or a Global Hawk, or a
drone business jet?" Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: "You are talking about what hit the
Pentagon, right John? It was a cruise missile. It could have been a Global
Hawk. It was not a commercial aircraft." Alex Jones: "That's what the eye-witnesses said and the evidence
shows. And do people realize that this was staged at the Pentagon? I mean
obviously it's in an area that's under renovation and then all this
happens. Do people at the Pentagon? are they still buying the official
story, Colonel?" Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: "Well, I can't speak for the rest of
them but I'm certainly not buying that. And I think I've got the full
story in book 3. And that's it. It was a diversionary hit for strategic
reasons and it didn't matter whether it was a pilotless drone or a Global
Hawk missile. It wasn't a commercial aircraft." Alex Jones: "It's the most surveilled area in the world but no
video of it. Witnesses said they saw a small aircraft." Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: "No, they did not. We have [garbled]
a video that purports to show a firing of a launch probably from a Global
Hawk or an unmanned aircraft missile but it certainly wasn't a commercial
aircraft." John Lee "And was United Airlines Flight 93 shot down in Pennsylvania by a U.S. or NATO pilot, and was that what was supposed to hit the Pentagon [instead of American Airlines Flight 77]?"
Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: No, that was hit at 10:00 hours. It was taken out by the North Dakota Air Guard. I know the pilot who fired those two missiles to take down 93. John Lee Was it shot down because the airline pilots actually regained control of the hijacked auto-pilot, or was that to replace the unmanned drone that was shot down? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: No, it was the aircraft, you see, had totally unconscious people on board. There were no hijackers. At 9:35, the Happy Hooligans, the Air Guard flying the F-16s were ordered to take that plane out. And they took it out from 9:35 to 10:00. John Lee Were there any refueling jets involved in that operation? Alex Jones: Hold on a second, John. The question is why would they deviate from the plan of flying it into the Capitol? Why did the globalists decide to go ahead and shoot the plane down? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: There had been an adjustment to the controls, probably by an AWACs aircraft flying overhead, again, remote control. And it was on a course for either the Capitol or the White House. And at this stage, you don't know. The Happy Hooligans came in and took care of it. Alex Jones: Do you think they were not following orders? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Who, the Happy Hooligans? Alex Jones: Well, yeah, you've got Cheney running around, we've got the stand down taking place. Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Well, this is correct, but you see the Adj. General of the State of North Dakota gave the command to take it out. And, by God, they took it out. And I've got the full story in the book. Alex Jones: That's a good thing they did that. You said you talked to the pilot. Think about this folks. Imagine what Bush would have gotten if he would have had that plane fly into the Capitol? Imagine the police state we would be in right now. Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Yes, yes, yes, indeed. Alex Jones: And so you had to have the diversionary blast at the Pentagon so no one would get suspicious and think it was a military coup. Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Perhaps, perhaps. Alex Jones: John, does that answer your question? John Lee Were there any refueling tankers used by the North Dakota Air Guard and what tanker wing was used? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: I don't know about the aircraft itself. I don't know about refueling. They came off base in Langley and it was just a few minutes out from Langley to the intercept over Pennsylvania. It was just a matter of minutes. Alex Jones: Colonel, how did you get in touch with the pilot who shot the plane down? Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: It turned out to be an old friend of mine from the Air National Guard and this is my home state of North Dakota. And I attended the ceremony in North Dakota and watched the Adj. General [garbled] the pilot being decorated a year later for this activity that happened on 911 with Flight 93. BREAK Alex Jones: Welcome back. We are about to go back to the Colonel and his amazing revelation of the North Dakota National Guard that had been moved to Langley Virginia a few months before 911. And then went in there and shot down that Flight 93 over Pennsylvania. He says he's talked to the pilot. His info checks out. I've been researching what he's been doing for years. Before we go back to our guest and 4 final calls from Scott and June and Warren and Greg, and we'll go to you quick too, because we've got a bunch of news we need to get to. [Skipped segment] Alex Jones: Colonel, before we take these four final calls, go over that a little bit slower for folks. That's a big deal. You talked to the pilot, a friend of yours, who shot down Flight 93 that was going for the Capitol or the White House. And go over that for folks. Colonel Donn de Grand Pre: Okay, quick rundown. They were out of Hector Field, Fargo, North Dakota. A bunch, this 119 Fighter Group and they are called the Happy Hooligans. They are probably the best interceptors that we have in the country. They were moved to Langley Air Force Base from Hector Field down to Southern Virginia. And when the klaxon horn went off at 9:35, those two pilots put down their coffee and shot into their aircraft and took off. They didn't know where they were going initially but by 10:00 hours, they had rendezvoused over Southern Pennsylvania. That's about 250 miles in just a matter of minutes and engaged 93 with two side-winder missiles. And they accomplished their objective. Now Hector Field, I use to fly out of Hector Field some time ago. I know most of those pilots. I could name names. I know the National Guard Adj. General. And they were decorated about a year later and I have the full write up of that story in my book. Alex Jones: Yeah and it's just ignored by the media. I have that article, too. And later, well okay, it was a missile, well there wasn't "Let's Roll." It's all made-up theatre for the public and we buy it like a bunch of saps. | |||

Debunking Popular Mechanics' 9/11 Lies Nepotism, bias, shoddy research and agenda-driven politics Paul Joseph Watson
It comes as no surprise that Popular Mechanics is owned by Hearst Corporation. As fictionalized in Orson Welles' acclaimed film Citizen Kane, William Randolph Hearst wrote the book on cronyism and yellow journalism and Popular Mechanics hasn't bucked that tradition. The magazine is a cheerleader for the sophistication of advanced weaponry and new technology used by police in areas such as crowd control and 'anti-terror' operation. A hefty chunk of its advertising revenue relies on the military and defense contractors. Since the invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq and in the future Iran all cite 9/11 as a pretext, what motivation does the magazine have to conduct a balanced investigation and risk upsetting its most coveted clientele? Popular Mechanics' March 2005 front cover story was entitled 'Debunking 9/11 Lies' and has since become the bellwether reference point for all proponents of the official 9/11 fairytale. Following the publication of the article and its exaltation by the mainstream media as the final nail in the coffin for 9/11 conspiracy theories, it was revealed that senior researcher on the piece Benjamin Chertoff is the cousin of Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. This means that Benjamin Chertoff was hired to write an article that would receive nationwide attention, about the veracity of the government's explanation of an event that led directly to the creation of Homeland Security, a body that his own cousin now heads. This is unparalleled nepotism and completely dissolves the credibility of the article before one has even turned the first page.
One of the most glaring errors in the Popular Mechanics hit piece appears in the 'Intercepts Not Routine' section where it is claimed that, "In the decade before 9/11, NORAD intercepted only one civilian plane over North America: golfer Payne Stewart's Learjet, in October 1999." As Jim Hoffman points out in his excellent rebuttal, "This bold assertion flies in the face of a published report of scramble frequencies that quotes the same Maj. Douglas Martin that is one of PM's cited experts!" "From Sept. 11 to June, NORAD scrambled jets or diverted combat air patrols 462 times, almost seven times as often as the 67 scrambles from September 2000 to June 2001, Martin said." The article also makes no mention whatsoever of the numerous war games scheduled for the morning of 9/11 which confused air defense personnel as to the true nature of the attack as it unfolded, as is documented by the recent release of the NORAD tapes. A section on the collapse of the World Trade Center fails to address firefighters and other individuals who reported numerous explosions before the towers fell, squibs of debris seen shooting out of the towers well below the collapse point, and the fact that the towers fell only slightly slower than absolute free fall. The article was released before analysis conducted by BYU physics Professor Steven Jones discovered traces of thermite in steel samples taken from the World Trade Center. "Using advanced techniques we're finding out what's in these samples - we're finding iron, sulphur, potassium and manganese - these are characteristic of a variation of thermite which is used to cut through steel very rapidly, it's called thermate," said Professor Jones. The article regurgitates pancake and truss theories yet fails to acknowledge the comments of WTC construction manager Frank DeMartini (below) who before 9/11 stated that the buildings were designed to take multiple airliner impacts and not collapse. The article also completely fails to answer why pools of molten yellow metal were found underneath both towers and Building 7 subsequent to the collapses. The classic crimp implosion of Building 7, which was not hit by a plane, is glossed over as the piece again tries to mislead its readers into believing that over engineered steel buildings collapse from fire damage - an event unprecedented in world history aside from three examples in one single day. Commenting on his own interview for the magazine piece, Alex Jones said that initially he thought it was a fake interview or a crank call. Jones has given hundreds of TV and print interviews and thousands of radio interviews but his experience with Benjamin Chertoff was like no other. "People from school newspapers sound more credible and serious," said Jones. Jones had to call Popular Mechanics' office and verify that Chertoff actually worked for them. In the course of doing so he was erroneously told by Editor in Chief James Meigs that the story was not going to be a hit piece and that it was simply intended to explore the different theories surrounding 9/11. In addition, Popular Mechanics highlighted an article that Jones had posted on his website about incendiary devices in the World Trade Center. Jones' websites feature a cross-section of mainstream and alternative media articles. An article written by Jones himself is clearly labeled as such. The magazine had contacted the individuals featured in the article who told them that they had never spoken to Jones. The article was clearly attributed to its orginal author - Randy Lavello - and not Alex Jones. When Jones asked Popular Mechanics if they were going to contact the individuals again and ask if they had spoken with the original author, they dropped the subject. As part of a PR campaign to sell its newly packaged dross, the book 'Debunking 9/11 Lies,' Popular Mechanics' James Meigs appeared on the O'Reilly Factor (watch below).
Meigs and O'Reilly need to be reminded that constantly parroting the word "fact," without presenting any actual evidence, does not make something a fact. Meigs contradicts himself completely in claiming that, "No one had ever seen a one hundred plus story building collapse to the ground before," and yet less than two minutes later agrees with O'Reilly's comment that nothing unexpected about the impact of the planes or the collapses surprised analysts. Meigs concurs that it's an unprecedented event and yet claims that analysts knew exactly what was going to happen. How could they have known the ins and outs of an event that had never happened before? Meigs calls the WTC implosion, "The most closely studied collapse in world history," yet fails to address the fact that 50,000 tons of steel from the WTC, a supposed crime scene, was shipped to Asia and a further 10,000 tons to India, preventing a detailed analysis. Meigs, citing opinions of engineers, bizarrely states that, "The real surprise is that the building stood up as long as it did." In February 2005, The Windsor building in Madrid (pictured) burned for over 24 hours as shooting flames engulfed almost the entire structure and yet the building did not collapse. The core of the WTC was exponentially more robust than the Windsor building. So we have one building that burned incessantly for over 24 hours and did not fall, compared to two buildings which were structurally far superior, burned briefly from limited fires, and yet both collapsed within an average time of 79 minutes - and Meigs claims they should have collapsed sooner!
In the foreword McCain re-hashes an abhorrent amount of Neo-Con detritus that relies solely on 9/11 having happened exactly as the government claims it did. "We liberated Afghanistan from the murderous rule of the Taliban, our attackers' proud hosts. We chased Al Qaeda around the globe," barks McCain. Afghanistan is now a failed narco-state run by tribal warlords and ex-Taliban kingpins, nowhere outside of Kabul is secure, malnutrition amongst children is the highest in the world outside Africa, and opium production is at record levels. Bellicose statements about chasing Al-Qaeda around the globe are somewhat contradicted by the fact that Al-Qaeda-Iraq links were proven to be fraudulent and outgoing CIA director AB “Buzzy” Krongard told the London Times that Bin Laden should stay free. Couple this with President Bush's view on Bin Laden - "I truly am not that concerned about him," and McCain's rhetoric falls flat on its face. McCain also uses the callous tactic of saying that questioning the government's version of 9/11 insults the victims and this is also parroted in the Popular Mechanics magazine piece. Let's hear what Bill Doyle, representative of the largest group of 9/11 family members has to say on this subject. "If you want to believe what they want to snow you under on like the 9/11 Commission - that's a total fallacy," said Doyle. "It looks like there was a conspiracy behind 9/11 if you really look at all the facts - a lot of families now feel the same way." Doyle said that half of the family members - relatives of the 9/11 victims - he represents thought that the US government was complicit in 9/11. Despite the efforts of Popular Mechanics to whitewash government complicity in 9/11 via a front page feature story and a new book, recent polls clearly show an increasing trend towards a rejection of the official version of events. If we are to set aside the 30% of Americans that do not even know the year in which September 11 happened, then we are left with figures of around 36% who agree that the government was involved in the attack and only 34% of Americans who actually know in which year the attack took place that still think it was carried out solely by a rag-tag group of 19 incompetent morons who couldn't fly Cessna's at the behest of a man on a kidney dialysis machine. Popular Mechanics are sure to make a tidy sum of money from their latest publication, but their credibility is certain to dwindle in light of the fact that they are willingly acting as collaborators by aiding the cover-up of a crime that resulted in the deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans on 9/11 and untold more to come as a result of how the attack changed US foreign policy. Chertoff's Cousin Penned Popular Mechanics 9/11 Hit Piece By Chistopher Bollyn Dictators like Saddam Hussein have always used nepotism to protect their secrets and maintain control. Like a dictatorship, the inner cabal that directs the actions of the Bush administration uses the same tactics to confuse the public and conceal the truth of 9/11. The Defense Department defines nepotism as the situation when relatives are in the same chain-of-command. An egregious example of dictatorial-style nepotism occurred when George W. Bush won the White House ? twice ? thanks to the key "swing state" of Florida, where the presidential candidate's younger brother is governor. In 2000 and 2004, against all odds, Florida swung decisively, the Bush way. With high federal offices being given to the wives, sons and daughters of senior members of the Bush administration, the Hearst Corporation executives that publish Popular Mechanics magazine probably didn't worry about the ethical considerations of hiring a cousin of Michael Chertoff, a former Assistant Attorney General and the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as senior researcher. But the March 2005 issue of Popular Mechanics (PM) plumbs new depths of nepotism and Hearst-style "yellow journalism" with its cover story about 9/11. PM's senior researcher, 25-year-old Benjamin Chertoff, authored a propagandistic cover story entitled "Debunking 9/11 Lies" which seeks to discredit all independent 9/11 research that challenges the official version of events. "Conspiracy theories can't stand up to the hard facts," the cover reads. "After an in-depth investigation, PM answers with the truth," it says. But the article fails to provide evidence to support its claims and doesn't answer the key question: What caused the collapses of the twin towers and the 47-story World Trade Center 7? The Chertoff article goes on to confront the "poisonous claims" of 16 "myths" spun by "extremist" 9/11 researchers like myself with "irrefutable facts," mostly provided by individuals in the employ of the U.S. government. But who is Benjamin Chertoff, the "senior researcher" at Popular Mechanics who is behind the article? American Free Press has learned that he is none other than a cousin of Michael Chertoff, the new Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. This means that Hearst paid Benjamin Chertoff to write an article supporting the seriously flawed explanation that is based on a practically non-existent investigation of the terror event that directly led to the creation of the massive national security department his "cousin" now heads. This is exactly the kind of "journalism" one would expect to find in a dictatorship like that of Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Because the manager of public relations for Popular Mechanics didn't respond to repeated calls from American Free Press, I called Benjamin Chertoff, the magazine's "senior researcher," directly. Chertoff said he was the "senior researcher" of the piece. When asked if he was related to Michael Chertoff, he said, "I don't know." Clearly uncomfortable about discussing the matter further, he told me that all questions about the article should be put to the publicist ? the one who never answers the phone. Benjamin's mother in Pelham, New York, however, was more willing to talk. Asked if Benjamin was related to the new Secretary of Homeland Security, Judy said, "Yes, of course, he is a cousin." Popular Mechanics Attacks Its "9/11 LIES" Straw Man Jim Hoffman The Hearst-owned Popular Mechanics magazine takes aim at the 9/11 Truth Movement (without ever acknowledging it by that name) with a cover story in its March 2005 edition. Sandwiched between ads and features for monster trucks, NASCAR paraphernalia, and off-road racing are twelve dense and brilliantly designed pages purporting to debunk the myths of 9/11. The article's approach is to identify and attack a series of claims which it asserts represent the whole of 9/11 skepticism. It gives the false impression that these claims, several of which are clearly absurd, represent the breadth of challenges to the official account of the flights, the World Trade Center attack, and the Pentagon attack. Meanwhile it entirely ignores vast bodies of evidence showing that only insiders had the means, motive, and opportunity to carry out the attack. The article gives no hint of the put options on the targeted airlines, warnings received by government and corporate officials, complicit behavior by top officials, obstruction of justice by a much larger group, or obvious frauds in the official story. Instead it attacks a mere 16 claims of its choosing, which it asserts are the "most prevalent" among "conspiracy theorists." The claims are grouped into topics which cover some of the subjects central to the analysis of 9-11 Research. However, for each topic, the article presents specious claims to divert the reader from understanding the issue. For example, the three pages devoted to attacking the Twin Towers' demolition present three red-herring claims and avoid the dozens of points I feature in my presentations, such as the Twin Towers' Demolition. The article brackets its distortion of the issues highlighted by 9/11 skeptics with smears against the skeptics themselves, whom it dehumanizes and accuses of "disgracing the memories" of the victims. More important, it misrepresents skeptics' views by implying that the skeptics' community is an undifferentiated "army" that wholly embraces the article's sixteen "poisonous claims," which it asserts are "at the root of virtually every 9/11 alternative scenario." In fact much of the 9/11 truth community has been working to expose many of these claims as disinformation. "The Lies Are Out There" This article has a page of Editor's Notes, "The Lies Are Out There," written by James Meigs, whose previous columns have praised military technology (such as the UAVs used in Fallujah). Meigs places outside of society anyone who questions the official version of events of 9/11/01: We as a society accept the basic premise that a group of Islamist terrorists hijacked four airplanes and turned them into weapons against us. ... Sadly, the noble search for truth is now being hijacked by a growing army of conspiracy theorists. Meigs throws a series of insults at the "conspiracy theorists," saying they ignore the facts and engage in "elaborate, shadowy theorizing," and concludes his diatribe by saying: [T]hose who peddle fantasies that this country encouraged, permitted or actually carried out the attacks are libeling the truth -- and disgracing the memories of the thousands who died that day. Besides trashing the skeptics, and conflating "this country" with its corrupt leaders, Meig's piece attempts to legitimate PM's "investigation." It reads: We assembled a team of reporters and researchers, including professional fact checkers and the editors of PM, and methodically analyzed all 16 conspiracy claims. We interviewed scores of engineers, aviation experts, military officials, eyewitnesses and members of the investigative teams who have held the wreckage of the attacks in their own hands. We pored over photography, maps, blueprints, aviation logs and transcripts. In every single instance, we found that the facts used by the conspiracy theorists to support their fantasies were mistaken, misunderstood, or deliberately falsified. This sounds impressive, but the article provides no evidence to back up these claims. It provides no footnotes to source its many assertions, and despite the scores of experts listed in its final section, the article cites only a few "experts," who would themselves likely be suspects if normal criminal justice procedures were used to investigate the crime. Moreover, glaring errors in the article -- such as the assertion that there was only a single interception in the decade before 9/11/01 -- don't inspire confidence in PM's "professional fact checkers." It echoes the discredited assertions of official reports such as the FEMA WTC Building Performance Study and the 9/11 Commission Report, and provides no evidence that it is anything but a well-orchestrated hit piece to perpetuate the 9/11 cover-up. "9/11: DEBUNKING the MYTHS" The main article consists of six two-page spreads, each devoted to a topic. Spanning these spreads are a series of sixteen "poisonous claims," which the article purports to refute, while it implicitly identifies them as the beliefs of all in the "growing army" of "conspiracy theorists." The two-page spreads, beginning on page 70, are as follows:
Superficially, the topics appear to address the major physical evidence issues brought up by the skeptics (while ignoring the mountains of evidence of foreknowledge, motive, and unique means possessed by insiders). However, the sixteen "most prevalent claims made by conspiracy theorists" which it attacks are mostly specious claims, many of which were probably invented to discredit skepticism of the official story in the first place. The article debunks the more specious claims, and uses distortion and falsehoods to counter serious claims. Thus the main approach of the article is to set up and attack a straw man of claims that it pretends represent the entirety of the skeptics' movement. The list includes many of the same claims that are debunked on the companion to this site, 911review.com. The article gives no hint of the questions raised by the evidence in this site, nor any sense of the issues raised by the broader 9/11 truth movement. Before proceeding to its 16 points, the article's introduction levels more insults at the skeptics -- "extremists", some of whose theories are "byproducts of cynical imaginations that aim to inject suspicion and animosity into public debate." It begins by asking you to type "World Trade Center conspiracy" into Google.com, and claims that "More than 3000 books on 9/11 have been published" -- an incredible claim. (Of these supposed 3000 titles, we recommend only a few, listed here.) The sixteen "claims" attacked by the article are described here under the headings taken from the article, which indicate either the claim, the counter-claim, or a broader issue. THE PLANES 1. Where's The Pod
The pod-plane idea has been used for over a year to discredit skepticism of the official story. It's not surprising that the article gives it top billing. See ERROR: A Pod Was Attached to the South Tower Plane. The article mentions the site LetsRoll911.org and the video In Plane Site, implying they are representative of the skeptics. Of course it makes no reference to skeptics' sites debunking these productions and the pod-plane idea they feature, such as this page on OilEmpire.us, or this page on QuestionsQuestions.net. No Stand-Down Order Here, the article falsely implies that emperors-clothes.com and StandDown.net both claim that no jets were scrambled to pursue any of the four commandeered jets. It then attacks this straw man by relating some details of the Commission's timeline (without sourcing the Commission's Report) to suggest that interceptors were scrambled, but that ATC couldn't find the hijacked flights because there were too many radar blips. The article makes no mention of the many problems with NORAD's account of the failed intercepts, but relates the following incredible assertion by NORAD public affairs officer Maj. Douglas Martin that there was a hole in NORAD's radar coverage: It was like a doughnut. There was no coverage in the middle. This absurd idea that NORAD had no radar coverage over much of the continental US is distilled from the 9/11 Commission Report. Predictably, the article makes no mention of evidence that war games were planned for the day of 9/11/01. See Multiple War Games on 9/11/01 Helped to Disable Air Defense. Intercepts Not Routine This section quotes the following excerpt from OilEmpire.us: It has been standard operating procedures for decades to immediately intercept off-course planes that do not respond to communications from air traffic controllers. When the Air Force 'scrambles' a fighter plane to intercept, they usually reach the plane in question in minutes. It then dismisses this 'claim' with the following sweeping 'fact': In the decade before 9/11 NORAD intercepted only one civilian plane over North America: golfer Payne Stewart's Learjet, in October 1999. This bold assertion flies in the face of a published report of scramble frequencies that quotes the same Maj. Douglas Martin that is one of PM's cited experts! From Sept. 11 to June, NORAD scrambled jets or diverted combat air patrols 462 times, almost seven times as often as the 67 scrambles from September 2000 to June 2001, Martin said. It is safe to assume that a significant fraction of scrambles lead to intercepts, so the fact that there were 67 scrambles in a 9-month period before 9/11/01 suggests that there are dozens of intercepts per year. To its assertion that there was only one intercept in a decade, the article adds that "rules in effect ... prohibited supersonic flight on intercepts," and the suggestion that there were no hotlines between ATCs and NORAD. Flight 175's Windows That the South Tower plane had no windows is one of several ludicrous claims made by the In Plane Site video, and, like the pod-planes claim, is dismissed by the simplest analysis. See The Windowless Plane. THE WORLD TRADE CENTER Widespread Damage The article's lead point in the World Trade Center topic is an obscure idea that explosives in the basements of the towers damaged the lobbies at about the time the planes hit. With only sparse evidence to support it, this contention is only mentioned by a few researchers. Indeed it is entirely distinct -- in both the support that exists for it, and the support that it provides for "conspiracy theories" -- from the contention that explosives brought down the towers (56 and 102 minutes after the plane crashes). Puffs Of Dust Here the article cites this quote from an advertisement for the book Painful Questions: The concrete clouds shooting out of the buildings are not possible from a mere collapse. They do occur from explosions. By titling this section "Puffs Of Dust," rather than "explosions of concrete," and by showing only a collapse photograph from early in the South Tower's destruction, the article minimizes the explosiveness of the event, but nonetheless goes to lengths to explain these "puffs." It quotes NIST lead investigator Shyam Sunder saying "When you have a significant portion of of a floor collapsing it's going to shoot air and concrete dust out the window" without explaining where the concrete dust came from, or even attempting to quantify the amount of dust that should be expected in the absence of explosives. The article mentions none of the other features of the collapses that indicate controlled demolition, such as:
"Melted Steel" The article implies that skeptics' criticism of the official account that fires weakened the towers' structures is based on the erroneous assumption that the official story requires that the fires melted the steel. In fact the fire-melts-steel claim was first introduced by apologists for the official story on the day of the attack, by no less than a structural engineer. The more sophisticated column failure and truss failure theories, advanced in subsequent days and weeks, are the subject of detailed analysis and debunking here. Seismic Spikes The idea that seismic spikes preceded the collapses of the towers is the subject of the page, ERROR: Seismic Spikes Preceded Collapses. Unfortunately a number of web sites seized upon this idea without critically evaluating it. The article takes advantage of this red-herring by pointing out that PrisonPlanet.com and WhatReallyHappened.com support it, while ignoring the much larger bodies of valid evidence of demolition that these sites present. WTC 7 Collapse Here the article cites 911review.org, a site that promotes discrediting ideas but purports to speak for the 9/11 skeptics' community. The article simply repeats the site's claim that "the video clearly shows that it was not a collapse subsequent to fire, but rather a controlled demolition," without directing the reader to where they can see videos, such as on WTC7.net. The article makes no mention of the facts that skeptics most often cite as evidence that the collapse was a controlled demolition:
The article lets NIST's Shyam Sunder sell the "progressive collapse" of Building 7: What our preliminary analysis has shown is that if you take out just one column on one of the lower floors, it could cause a vertical progression of collapse so that the entire section comes down. Note the guarded language Sunder uses to describe the extent of the collapse. The reader is led to believe that the collapse of a "section" could lead to the total collapse of the building, when in fact there are no examples of total progressive collapse of steel frame buildings outside of the alleged cases of the Twin Towers and Building 7. THE PENTAGON Big Plane, Small Holes Here the article cites the claim on reopen911.org that the hole in the Pentagon was "only 16ft. across," and mentions French author Thierry Meyssan, who helped to spawn the "no-757-crash theory", the subject of my earlier essay. The article again implies that this idea is gospel among 9/11 skeptics, giving no clue that there is controversy about the issue in 9/11 skeptics circles, and that many consider this claim that no jetliner hit the Pentagon a big distraction. The page ERROR: The Pentagon Attack Left Only a Small Impact Hole and others by 9/11 skeptics have long debunked Meyssan's wildly inaccurate description of a 16-foot-diameter entry hole. Intact Windows Here the article misrepresents an argument by skeptics of the official account of Flight 77's crash by stating that the issue is intact windows "near the impact area," when the skeptics point to unbroken windows in the trajectory of portions of the Boeing 757. PM uses this part to backhandedly promote the Pentagon Strike flash animation, which appears to serve the same function as this article: discrediting skepticism by associating it with sloppy research and easily disproven ideas. Flight 77 Debris Here the article drops a URL for Pentagon Strike a second time, in case the reader missed the first one. The lack of aircraft debris following the Pentagon crash has been noted by many people as suspicious, but it is not surprising, considering the nature of the crash. See ERROR: Aircraft Crashes Always Leave Large Debris FLIGHT 93 The White Jet Here the article counters the idea that a small white jet reported by eyewitnesses had anything to do with the crash by relating a detailed account by the aviation director of the company that owned the business jet, David Newell. According to Newell, the co-pilot of the jet, Yates Gladwell, was contacted by FAA's Cleveland Center to investigate the crash immediately after it happened. According to PM: Gladwell confirmed the account but, concerned about ongoing harassment by conspiracy theorists, asked not to be quoted directly. Roving Engine The far-flung debris field of the Flight 93 crash site along with the eyewitness accounts make a strong case that the plane was shot down. The article takes on this issue by first citing an article on Rense.com that makes the unsubstantiated claim that "the main body of the engine ... was found miles away from the main wreckage site." It then argues that engine parts being found 300 yards from the main site is reasonable for a simple crash, because airline accident expert Michael K. Hynes, who investigated the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996, states parts could bounce that far "when you have high velocities, 500 mph or more." This theory is at odds with the eyewitness reports that the plane plummeted almost straight down, such as the following:
Indian Lake The article devotes this point to the confetti seen over Indian Lake, which is about two miles from the main crash site. It explains that this distance is "easily within range of debris blasted skyward by the heat of the explosion from the blast." F-16 Pilot In the final point, the article takes on the allegation by retired Army Col. Donn de Grand-Pre that the pilot who shot down Flight 93 was Major Rick Gibney. The article states that Gibney was flying an F-16 that day, but it was not on an intercept mission; rather it was to pick up Ed Jacoby Jr., the director of the New York State's Emergency Management Office, and fly him from Montana to Albany, NY. PM delivers its closing ad hominem attack on skeptics in the voice of Ed Jacoby: I summarily dismiss [allegations that Gibney shot down Flight 93] because Lt. Col. Gibney was with me at the time. It disgusts me to see this because the public is being misled. More than anything else it disgusts me because it brings up fears. It brings up hopes -- it brings up all sorts of feelings, not only to the victims' families but to all individuals throughout the country, and the world for that matter. I get angry at the misinformation out there. "9/11 MYTHS DEBUNKED" Having slain the conspiracy theory army's poison-spewing 16-headed dragon of 9/11 LIES -- PM declares the enemy vanquished, titling its final section "9/11 MYTHS DEBUNKED." On page 128, PM reveals its suit of armor -- a list of over 70 "experts" that it found "particularly helpful." The titles and names on this page are supposed to back the many assertions the article makes in the main section, but the article gives no indication of what experts or reports back up many of its key assertions.

By Natalie Jordan The Web site of an N.C. Wesleyan College professor has drawn fire from bloggers, columnists and other Internet surfers regarding its content. Jane Christensen, an associate professor of political science at the college, has a home page on the college's Web site that displays links to anti-war groups, alternative ideas about the Sept. 11 attacks, political action networks and pictures of masked people carrying weapons. The site also has links to her syllabi that give full descriptions of the classes she teaches. The site states its content is protected under the First Amendment of the Constitution. But that hasn't stopped criticism from conservative columnists Jon Sanders, a policy analyst at the Pope Center for Higher Education Policy, and Mike Adams, who writes for Townhall.com. Both men published columns on conservative Web sites about Christensen's Web page, which attracted complaints from bloggers and other users of the sites. In response to Christensen's site, Adams wrote that "slander and anti-Semitism are permitted by a bigot posing as a scholar." Bridget Skillman, a former Rocky Mount resident who now lives in Sacramento, Calif., said she's appalled at the site and its contents and thinks Christensen is trying to brainwash her students. She said regardless of Christensen's constitutional right to freedom of speech, her views aren't limited to the site. "As disgusting and hate-filled as her speech is, she is free to spew it," Skillman said. "She is not teaching the students, but trying to indoctrinate them to her way of thinking ... I truly think Ms. Christensen crosses the line, and I feel sorry for any students who disagree with her and must sit through her ranting in class. She actually seems like she could be dangerous — just my opinion. "Isn't education about facts and thinking? It's not supposed to be just the opinions of the professor." Christensen said she did not want to comment for this story. "9/11: The road to tyranny," one of the elective courses listed on Christensen's site, studies the events of Sept. 11 and how that day "shaped political future" through "eyewitness accounts and speculation." The course does not require textbooks, but uses alternative news media and Web links such as prisonplanet.com and Infowars.com. It also refers to films like Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" and Alex Jones' "9/11: The Road to Tyranny." Tom Betts, chairman of N.C. Wesleyan's board of trustees, said he thinks the material on the Web site is offensive, but defended the professor's right to display it. "I find what's on her Web site to be distasteful and despicable, and I disagree with everything on it. In the most polite of terms, it is disgraceful," Betts said. "However, this is America, and academic freedom and free speech is what sets us apart from the rest of the world. And I believe and hope most people will see this Web site for what it is — the opinions of a very, very far left person. And any sensible person would see this as a joke — a very bad joke. "Everyone has an opinion, and hearing all sides and drawing one's own conclusions is what college is about. And the last thing we need to do is tell somebody how to think. That's why we have elections." The Web page, called "Megalinks in Political Science," features a picture of black-clad people holding automatic weapons. Underneath the picture reads "Fighting the New World Order." Christensen's accolades — a bachelor's degree from Howard University, a master's degree from Virginia Tech and a doctorate from the State University of New York at Albany — are also listed, along with her contact information at N.C. Wesleyan. The site also provides a list of upcoming course topics, such as health and the war on drugs. Ian Newbould, the college's president, said he supports academic freedom. "Faculty have a right to their views. Some are popular views and some are less popular views, but we can't answer for every item faculty has links to," Newbould said. "There are different opinions about events and politics, and we don't stifle freedom of opinion." Newbould said the United States should uphold its constitutional right to free speech. "I know there are several right-wing Web sites out there trying to create controversy, and it's the media that perpetuates the controversy," he said. "But we don't tell people what they are supposed to think. That's what people like Saddam Hussein do — tell people what to do and what to think. "That's what makes America great, because that doesn't happen here."

Academic Insanity at North Carolina Wesleylan By John Sanders I write a monthly column in North Carolina entitled “Course of the Month”, which acts as a Golden Fleece Award for ridiculous courses taught in this state's colleges and universities. Sometimes I decide a course is too deserving of attention to keep it within the confines of North Carolina. The course I am about to describe is not only worthy of such an honor, but, in my view, it ascends to the top of all the crackpot courses I've written about since 1996. Visit Prof. Christensen's Site If you think the Bush administration planned the 9/11 attacks to give it an excuse to wage war for global domination, that a Jewish cabal controls world events, that President Eisenhower was abducted by aliens, and that he, Nixon, Reagan and the Bushes go off to a remote California location to practice owl worship, then you'll disagree with my assessment. The rest of you, I'm confident, will say move over, “Canine Cultural Studies” -- and make way for North Carolina Wesleyan College's Political Science 495: “911 The Road to Tyranny,” taught by Prof. Jane Christensen. Here is Christensen's description of her course: “The events of September 11, 2001, indisputably changed the course of American politics and history. This course is offered so students may examine various events and policies leading to 911. In particular, this course will focus largely on the specific destruction in lower Manhattan and the Pentagon. We will examine the official story and analyze it critically. We will consider alternative explanations of what occurrred (sic) as well. 911 was a catalyst for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the attack on civil liberties in the United States. We will examine each of these with a critical eye. The goal of this course is to arrive at a solid understanding of how 911 has shaped our political future and to promote critical analysis by students of this catastrophic event and its aftermath.” Christensen continues: “This course is outside the scope of traditional 'political science' in many ways. First it is 'unscientific' in that it relies much on eyewitness accounts and speculation. Secondly, there is not yet a solid literature on the September 11 'attacks' or on the war on terrorism. This literature is emerging, particularly on the latter. Thirdly, this course will rely somewhat extensively on alternative news media accounts and a variety of films and videos in lieu of literature.” That second paragraph reminds me of the “Brad Goodman” character on an old episode of “The Simpsons.” He was a feel-good self-help guru and charlatan who proudly told his audiences, “I don't have any credentials -- or training -- but I have a Ph.D. in pain.” By the same token, this course doesn't have political science -- or a scientific approach -- but it has a Ph.D. in kooky conspiracy-mongering. For her “911 The Road to Tyranny” class, Christensen lists the following websites as “recommended reading” that “should be visited every day”: rense.com, www.libertythink.com, www.counterpunch.org, www.prisonplanet.com, www.wsws.org/index.shtml, www.globalresearch.ca, and www.copvcia.com. The day of this writing, for example, Christensen’s students would have “learned” the following:
From rense.com: Israel is engaged in the “white slave trade”; Pres. Eisenhower signed “a formal treaty between the Alien Nation and the United States of America” and that “that aliens exist and control much of what happens on planet Earth,” a truth, incidentally, that's encoded within the Bible; the planes that hit the World Trade Center were remote-controlled; the U.S. Air Force's plan to “own the weather” by 2025; plus lots of neat stuff about alien abductions, UFOs, “aerosol crimes,” etc.; and (I'm not making this up) the U.S.'s chemical warfare against its children, flooding them with a dangerous chemical agent and the children are “forced to ingest it, inhale it, bathe and shower in it, whether or not they want or even need this toxic chemical in their bodies” -- fluoride. From libertythink.com: Agents of “a little-known private company known as MITRE Corp” had “agents embedded within the U.S. military and intelligence organizations [who] conspired to carry out the terror attacks” and is in cahoots with Israel and Britian, “supporters and beneficiaries of the Bush administration's 'war on terror'”; also, “Some persons unknown are trying hard, very hard, to convince you that the top of World Trade Center South Tower was intact and tilting as the building fell. Only thing is....These commonly referenced photos below are fakes. Clear evidence that the official story of 9/11 is not true. Otherwise, why bother to fake these photos?”; and “There is a very active male homosexual ring operative at the very highest levels of 'our government'; my guess is that this is the blackmail link that facilitates entry into the Council on Foreign Relations and that, once in, one can never leave—alive” (reported under the headline “Fags R US”). From counterpunch.org: George Bush and Condoleezza Rice slipped up and announced their marriage; Marxists need to ally themselves with the Muslim brotherhood; liberals and neocons are conspiring to reinstate the draft; and “We find ourselves at a perilous juncture for our Republic. There's a tidal pool of wet blood soaking the ground beneath our feet. There are puritan ghouls prowling our bedrooms, sniffing our garbage, scrutinizing the books we read.” From prisonplanet.com: “explosives, probably tactical nukes, brought down the towers” of the World Trade Center; the same story about MITRE Corp. as libertythink; video game manufacturers are secretly conditioning kids to “fight all those who would resist NOW [the New World Order]”; the election of 2004 was obviously “staged,” because the U.S. is a “dictatorship” where people are “slaves.” From the World Socialist web site: Jesse Jackson speaking in favor of Terri Schiavo was proof that “the Democrats have abandoned any pretense of being an 'opposition' party and joined forces with the ultra-right”; the “Bush administration and its policies of militarism, social reaction and state repression are the expression of a profound crisis of American capitalism”; Trotskyism is ascendant and has always “attracted the best and brightest, the most idealistic and committed.” From globalresearch.ca: the U.S. is responsible for the attacks of 9/11, it's a lie that they were by outside groups, and it's all a part of a massive plan to justify “global domination”; the U.S. plans to “annex Canada”; and the vote counts in the U.S. presidential election were “altered.” From copvcia.com: “Evidence of Bush Administration Foreknowledge and complicity [in the 9/11 attacks] is now overwhelming”; “the innermost core of the 9/11 attacks” was “a desperate new America” preparing for “Peak Oil: an economic crisis like nothing the world has ever seen,” thus the attacks required “an amazing orchestration of logistics and personnel” and involved “the highest echelons of American government” who “acted in concert to guarantee that the attacks occurred and produced the desired result”; the “state of the world” is that it's “on the brink of disaster”; a “decisive U.S. 'victory'” won't “win the war in Iraq”; and find out “Who's Who of the Elite: Members of the: Bilderburgers, Council on Foreign Relations, and Trilateral Commission.” If Prof. Christensen's students were diligent in their “daily readings,” as of April 4, 2005, that is just a fraction of what they would have encountered. There is another website, however, that Christensen lists in a larger, bold-faced text and pronounces “one of the best on the web!: Alex Jones' Infowars.com.” What “collegiate” material does this website feature?
First, the ads [ArnoldExposed.com]: One carries a photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger with the text “Arnold Exposed: Actor Politician Megalomaniac Mysogynist Nazi Sympathizer Aspiring Dictator.” Another peddles a DVD entitled “9:11: Rise of the Police State” with the text “Terror Was the Pretext / For the Control / Of Our Entire Lives / Learn the Terrifying Secret / That Holds In Its Grasp / The Future of the World / MARTIAL LAW.” Another shows photos of George Bush and John Kerry accompanied by the text “Both Are Members of an Elite Secret Society / In a Dictatorship There Is No Choice / In a Dictatorship The Elections Are Staged / AMERICAN DICTATORS: Both Are Puppets of the New World Order.” A T-shirt advertisement reads “Hitler / Stalin / Mao / Mass murderers agree / Gun control works / Get the T-shirt” / the photo accompanying “Mass murderers agree” is a photo of Bush in front of a banner reading “NWO" with the “W” far larger than the “N” and “O.” And here are some of the headlines to be found on “one of the best” websites: “Screened Audiences, Fake News Promote Bush Agenda”; “Lies revealed: pretext for war fabricated, dead wrong”; “More Bio-Terrorism Fearmongering: Al-Qaeda 'making Agent X advances'”; “Special Video Report: America Is Now The Ultimate Prison State.” This stellar site also has several issue archives; among them are: “Prior Knowledge: Sept. 11”; “The Globalists' Illuminati Language”; “Freemasonry”; “Gulags in America”; “New World Order”; and “Fluoride.”
Another issue archive is “Bohemian Grove,” which has corroborating DVD advertisements. One asks “WHAT IS BOHEMIAN GROVE?” to which it provides the answer: “Since 1873, the Global Elite Has Held Secret Meetings in the Ancient Redwood Forest of Northern California. Members of the so-called 'Bohemian Club' Include Former Presidents Eisenhower, Nixon and Reagan. The Bush Family Maintains a Strong Involvement. Each Year at Bohemian Grove, Members of This All-Male 'Club' Don Red, Black and Silver Robes and Conduct an Occult Ritual Wherein They Worship a Giant Stone Owl, Sacrificing a Human Being in Effigy to What They Call the 'Great Owl of Bohemia.'" Alex Jones is also quoted; he says, “This is like something out of a Hollywood movie, where teenagers are out camping in the wilderness and come over a hill and witness some devil cult in black and red garb sacrificing some poor soul on a bloody altar.” |

![]() Bush Gang and US Supreme Court judges worshipping their god Molech with annual ritual "mock" human sacrifice at Bohemian Grove, California photo © Bohemian Club Corporation, San Francisco It bears repeating at this point that the quoted matter above is from a website listed as “required reading” and “one of the best sites on the web” in a college course at N.C. Wesleyan -- a course that takes its name from a title of film by the same Alex Jones, "911 The Road to Tyranny." Christensen opens her course with readings from Marxist academic Michael Parenti's The Terrorism Trap: September 11 and Beyond, to answer the question “Why Study 9/11?” Perhaps the answer can be gleaned from a glowing review of the book on Amazon.com: “Parenti explains in plain language why the American government is so despised around the world. He shows that the U.S. kills civilians elsewhere on a regular basis (e.g. 30,000 in Nicaragua during the Reagan years, 2 million in Vietnam), but makes no apology for it. He shows that the U.S. government cares about oil, money, and corporate profits far more than about global problems such as AIDS, hunger, or deforestation.” The review concludes, “As a college instructor, I will surely assign this to my students.” Next Christensen tackles the question “Who are the terrorists?” An Alex Jones film “Masters of Terror” (infowars.com says it "details the execution of the September 11th attacks and the ensuing whitewash, the cashless society control-grid, implanted microchips, mind-control, militarization of police, concentration camps, foreign troops massing on US soil, the USA Patriot Act, and Homeland Security taking over the states"), a globalresearch.com article about a "Mysterious Breakfast Meeting on Capitol Hill,” an article from a site called “freemasonrywatch.org” and a rense.com article about a “Treasonous Cabal” suffice to answer it. Up next is “Official Lies and Conspiracy Theories,” which includes, among other things, a reading of “Barbara Olson's Call From Flight 77 Never Happened.” Then, “The Pentagon Optical Illusion” section views another film, “In Plane Sight,” and the class is directed to read a presentation made in Abu Dhabi arguing that the Pentagon was not hit by a jet airliner, but was possibly hit by a cruise missile to “give credence to the fable of Islamic terrorists.” The following two class days are dedicated to watching another film, George Humphrey's “911 The Great Illusion,” with an accompanying text of the same name. On prisonplanet.com Jones calls the film “one of the best 9/11 films I've ever seen. It covers the broad spectrum of facts exposing the globalists' orchestration of 9/11.” The final two days leading up to the mid-term involve viewing Jones' film (which “documents the ruthless history of governments orchestrating terrorist attacks against their own people to scare them into total submission”), reading “Select articles from Alex's 911 archive,” viewing Michael Moore's “Fahrenheit 9/11,” and reading a socialist's open letter to Michael Moore carping that he ought to work “to build a socialist alternative to the capitalist two-party system.” After the mid-term students discuss a handout to discuss “H.R. 4079 and the Infrastructure of Control”; it is Chapter 6 of Behold A Pale Horse written by William Cooper, described glowingly in rense.com as the man “whose apocalyptic, constitutionalist shortwave radio programs were a major influence on Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.” Then begins Part II of the course, “The 'War on Terrorism.'” First, students discuss “A Strategy for World Domination,” with links to antiwar.com, The Nation, and rense.com, discussing plotting by “neoconservative” and Jewish think tankers. Over a week of that and students are ready to discuss “The War on Terrorism USA,” relying on Jones' material to discuss how the Patriot Act has turned the United States into a “police state.” That segues nicely into “Police State USA,” relying on two counterpunch.org articles, two columns by Rep. Ron Paul – “It Can't Happen Here” on rense.com and “Police State USA” on antiwar.com, and something published in The Olympian under the given title “The CIA can kill Americans” but omitting the rest of the title, which was “in al-Qaida.” Christensen takes a brief jaunt to discuss “The War on Iraq,” using a rense.com link entitled “The War on Iraq -- A War For Israel?” before she concludes the course on “More Police State USA (Where Do We Go From Here?).” This final section includes “More Alex Jones videos” and concludes with her asking the class, “What Have We Learned About 911? What Have We Learned About the War on America?” Students who aren't satisfied with this offering of Christensen's can check out her other courses and links available on her home page. They wouldn't want to miss seeing her dressed as a masked terrorist, nor would they want to overlook her many links, such as to the Communist front group International A.N.S.W.E.R. and other Marxist groups, or to al-Jazeera, Pravda and other “alternative media,” or to the International Solidarity Movement for Palestine and many other anti-Israel links and quotations, or to EarthFirst!, or to news about the Zapatistas, or to the Irish Republican Webring. N.C. Wesleyan should be proud. Hear Hear! That's what's needed in EVERY college and high school!
